Bib- Rambla Square is located in Granada , Andalusia ( Spain ) . It dates back to the Moorish period and must play an important role because of its proximity to the shopping and commercial center of the city located on the Alcaicería and the Zacatín , in which all small and timbered streets the commercial life of the city was brewing .

While the Muslim era was the scene of trade , at other times it was in this place where fair, bullfights and general party developed, but gradually changed its importance and as many squares and streets of the city of Granada was the subject of profound urban transformations . So after the remodeling of the late sixteenth century its size was similar to today , but it was the middle of the twentieth century when Prince Street is opened to communicate the Bib- Rambla square with the Catholic Kings street that runs along the River embovedado Darro and the Plaza del Carmen , which is located the City of Granada .
In its current configuration is a rectangular square court presided by the source of the Giants own bucolic pagan motifs and details of a shopping plaza. Is decorated at the ends of the square by the Ferdinand brightly iron lampposts from the late nineteenth century from a melting Seville . Surrounding the fountain are the stands of flowers that change radically sales happening firs , pines and Pascueros at Christmas, to the bouquets on Valentine's Day and Mothers Day . The trees in the square are linden (Tilia cordata ) .
On the perimeter of the square are numerous cafés and restaurants come together and communicate with the shopping streets of the city par excellence . So the Arch Street spoons the Street joins Inns ; Booksellers Street communicates with the Sanctuary of the Cathedral ( Parish of Our Lady of the O) and the Archbishop's Palace ; Prince street along with the Salamanca Street Bow Street connecting the ear to the Plaza Bib- Rambla, and other of its narrow streets serve as a union between the square itself and the square of the Pasiegas (where the Cathedral rests Granada ) and the square of the Romanilla .
